A Team Leader coordinates the details of daily work and strives to maintain the goals set by Management. A Team Leader is an extension of Management's authority.
Responsibilities:Assign employees daily tasks and monitor dispatch; assign new/updated tasks as the dispatch changes.Interview and hire new employees.Train new and existing employees as required.Prepare and conduct employee performance reviews.Follow disciplinary procedures for those employees exhibiting unsatisfactory behavior or performance.Monitor productivity and the quality of parts/products.Review and sign off on weekly timesheets and monitor employees' PTO.Check work orders when delivered and enter proper paperwork.Monitor parts, record sheets, paperwork, stock levels, sales orders, and budget.Enter all paperwork needed (p/o receipt to stock, w/o receipt to stock, misc. issue, w/o picklist, etc.).Complete cycle counts.Complete any minor maintenance required in area and on machines.Work closely with Mfg. Engineering (router changes, new routers, set run times, problems with fixtures, procedures, etc.).Complete a monthly safety walk and continually monitor safety.Qualifications:Abilities: AS/400, leadership skills, and people skills; confidentiality on all business matters.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience: Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
