Jack's Abby Brewing is recruiting for a Packaging Associate for the Production team Team.
Jack's Abby was founded in 2011 by three brothers, Jack, Eric and Sam Hendler.
It is one of the fastest growing breweries in the country and known for making beautiful craft lagers under the Jack's Abby Craft Lagers brand.
Description/Expectations: A Packaging Associate is expected to perform the successful operation of all canning, keg racking, bottling, and other general packaging equipment.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work with a team of 4 - 5 packaging machine operators and also work independently as needed, work in a high pace environment under pressure, follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures, problem solve, move up to 75 lbs repeatedly, work on your feet for 10+ hours, safely handle chemical and sanitation products, operate powered industrial vehicles, perform general maintenance, deep clean packaging equipment, and other miscellaneous duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Learn and operate all equipment on the canning, keg racking, and variety pack lines Routine daily maintenance of all packaging equipment Inspect product and package quality with great attention to detail Maintain accurate packaging logs and reports Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot basic mechanical problems Maintain a positive, professional, and personal appearance that is reflective of the Jack's Abby culture Participate in weekly department meetings to review issues and propose solutions Safely use and handle chemical and sanitation products Comply with existing SOPs and make suggestions and revisions as needed Work independently with minimal supervision Work safely and use personal protective equipment Follow all company guidelines as outlined in the handbook - attendance, safety, IT, etc.. Other miscellaneous duties as needed or assigned Keep all spaces clean and organized During downtime and slow periods work on miscellaneous projects including capital projects, building management etc Job Requirements: 1 year of brewery packaging experience or equivalent manufacturing experience preferred but not required Machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred High School diploma or equivalent Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a positive attitude Standing for long periods of time Ability to work in non climate controlled environments Good written and verbal communication skills Available to work long and/or flexible hours Forklift certification and/or experience is a plus Work well under pressure and at a fast pace Work independently and within a team with minimal supervision Must be dependable and have reliable transportation Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision start on day one Matching 401k after 9 months of employment Paid time off, Vacation, Sick time, Company holidays Training and industry related education available Membership in Master Brewers Association of America Employee meal Tuesday-Friday free case of our beer weekly(must be 21 or older)
Salary - $20-22 /hr Depending on experience
Schedule - 12:00pm - 10:00pm Monday - Thursday
