Our client is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide expert pulmonary care for a wide range of patients, including critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adults, pediatrics, and neonates. In this role, you will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement respiratory care plans, and conduct advanced respiratory procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, proficiency in airway management and ventilator care, and the capacity to respond effectively in emergency situations. This position offers the opportunity to take on a leadership role, serving as a Shift or Team Leader, and requires a commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring regulatory compliance, all while delivering exceptional respiratory care.
Key Responsibilities: Meet the applicable client leadership competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.Provide care in emergency situations (Code Blue/White) and manage airways, including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning.Administer aerosolized medications, manage ventilators, and perform oral hygiene.Handle airway support devices such as BiPAP and CPAP, manage oxygen delivery devices, and monitor therapeutic progress.Conduct chest film analysis, blood gas collection and analysis, and EKG interpretation.Ensure accurate and thorough documentation, maintain clean equipment, and keep supplies stocked.Participate in CAP and JC surveys.Function as a Shift Leader or Team Leader as needed.Perform advanced practices, including therapeutic gas management (INO, HeO2), pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assistance, and hemodynamic monitoring.Qualifications: 2 - 3 years of experience in respiratory therapy.Valid RT or RCP license in the state of employment.BLS certification.RRT certification through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
