West Virginia Pennsylvania Michigan Iowa Indiana Arizona and one closeout manager (remote) Field Manager - Telecommunications Construction We are seeking an experienced Field Manager to oversee the construction of cell sites in collaboration with our partners. This role requires a solid understanding of site construction processes, including site walks, installations, and acceptance, as well as expertise in commissioning, integration, and troubleshooting hardware/software systems. Key Responsibilities: Supervise the installation of 4G and 5G antenna components, RF cabling, AC/DC wiring, and telecommunication equipment. Troubleshoot RF and fiber optic cables, as well as connections, as needed. Manage the setup of radio cabinets, DC power systems, and related telecommunications infrastructure. Utilize and supervise the use of bucket trucks and aerial lifts. Read, interpret, and implement engineering work plans. Oversee the use of various telecommunication and construction equipment for installations. Ensure proper and safe use of hand and power tools. Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing compliance with state and federal safety regulations (OSHA, local vendors) and ensuring adherence to safe practices when working with power systems or at heights. Ensure compliance with local build standards and regulations during site construction. Manage suppliers' performance, ensuring appropriate crew capacity, rollout schedules, skills verification, and quality management. Conduct daily meetings with suppliers to ensure project alignment. Validate site surveys, scoping packages, and bills of materials. Coordinate equipment repairs and returns. Oversee quality verification throughout the implementation and acceptance processes. Approve or reject site acceptance documentation, ensuring compliance with standards. Validate and approve change requests as necessary. Lead the installation, commissioning, operations, integration, and maintenance of cabinets and related equipment. Deliver detailed and accurate reports on project progress and activities. Ensure timely submission and review of all closeout documentation. Install, maintain, and repair radio access nodes, core network transmission equipment, and other telecommunications infrastructure. Collaborate with other technicians and the client's technical staff. Perform microwave installation, commissioning, and alignment. Implement and understand RAN, RF, and transmission designs. Possess basic knowledge of antennae and RF configuration at cell sites. Understand proper grounding methods and safe handling of electrical voltages. Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and manufacturer specifications to ensure proper installation. Maintain knowledge of fiber tags, wax string, CX, RBS, WCDMA. Ensure health and safety standards are followed at all times. Travel and work outdoors in various weather conditions when required. Requirements: Valid driver's license. Two or more years of experience in network rollout or the wireless industry. First Aid/CPR training preferred. OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred. IC&I and troubleshooting experience in UMTS, LTE, WCDMA, CDMA, & GSM is a plus! Electrical training with telecommunications experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of microwave and fiber transmission concepts. Flexibility with work hours and the ability to travel overnight. Understanding of multiple network topologies, including radio access and optical/microwave transmission infrastructure. Experience with cabinet integration and troubleshooting.
