Optomi, in partnership with one of our consultancy clients, is seeking an experienced Sr. Application Admin - JIRA This role is direct hire & fully remote! Responsibilities: Maintain, support, troubleshoot, and upgrade Jira. Manage the administration, configuration, and support of Jira along with integrations with external applications (e.g., GitHub and Bamboo) and third-party applications from the Atlassian Marketplace. Identify, investigate, and resolve software, data, or system issues in collaboration with team members and users. Provide technical training, documentation, mentorship, and guidance to state personnel as needed. Mandatory Technical Requirements: Experience upgrading multi-node data center instances (minimum version 9.x). Proficiency in updating Jira application configuration files (e.g., setenv.sh, server.xml, web.xml, application-properties, dbconfiguration, etc.). Skilled in creating and modifying Bash scripts. Experience managing CRON table entries. Ability to create and update Groovy scripts. Familiarity with RHEL command line. Experience monitoring and troubleshooting clustered node issues, including collaboration with Atlassian support as required. Proficient in TSQL and creating/altering SQL Server database objects (e.g., stored procedures, views, tables, etc.). Experience with Jira project configuration, including custom workflow post-functions, custom listeners, custom events, and complex work item security schemes. Skilled in constructing JQL with advanced functions. Desired Skills and Experience: Jira Administrator certification. Familiarity with setting up and using Jira APIs. Experience configuring integrations with external applications (e.g., GitHub and Bamboo) and third-party Atlassian Marketplace applications. Knowledge of AD/LDAP connection and configuration. Proficient in HTML and JavaScript. Experience with Structure. Knowledge of Zephyr Squad and/or Zephyr Scale. Basic understanding of load balancing and networking.
