Overview Under the guidance of the Manager or Technical Lead, the Application Analyst I is responsible for the configuration and maintenance of software applications supporting research workflow and/or business operations. The Application Analyst I is vital in gathering and documenting end user requirements, configuring system changes in the test/dev environments and executing testing prior to changes in the production environment. The Application Analyst I partners with the application team while working collaboratively with our customers to bring cutting edge technology to the department and ensuring that our customers are satisfied. The Application Analyst I will work closely with the Manager and Technical Lead in the coordination of new projects from development to successful implementation. This role will interface with all areas of Information Technology and Services and will ensure that their team interfaces with all other ITS teams to keep our customer and our patients as our number one focus.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.
REPORTS TO: Manager of Research Applications
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Achievement of applicable system training/proficiency within 6 months.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Research Systems Analyst is part of a team of Technology professionals supporting all Research Related Systems from technical platforms and programs that deliver significant business value and its customers. The Research System Analyst partners with internal stakeholders to analyze problems and data; and help develop requirements for technology solutions. This position interacts with people in both business and technical roles to create specifications and resolve issues with an eye toward continuous improvement. This position works across department and functional lines on a variety of programs that range in scope, risk and complexity. Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by effectively capturing business requirements, mapping processes, and developing functional specifications in support of business priorities. Defines application problems by conferring with key stakeholders, evaluating procedures and processes. Perform testing and process changes through the organization as needed. Provide technical support for end users, opening, updating, and closing Help Desk Tickets. Experience with Databases (SQL, Oracle), Java Script, HTML. Supports Academic Enterprise by attending Change Board, On Call Rotation, documentation management, etc. Position is Remote with some onsite meetings as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of IT or knowledge of a healthcare setting. Knowledge of Academic Research a plus. Experience with Huron Research Suite (IRB, IACUC, COI, Grants, Agreements, ECC), Advarra OnCore, Advarra EDC, Florence E-Binders, etc. (Preferred, but not required). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with an emphasis on customer service. Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining a high level of quality. Demonstrated ability to take direction from management. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Fast paced with long hours as needed based on business requirements.
