The Office of Accessibility Resources at the State University of New York (SUNY) Oneonta is building a community where everyone can bring their whole self to campus and have the opportunity to thrive. We're expanding our team with an Accessibility Counselor who shares our vision of inclusive excellence. Expectations include engaging students with disabilities in an interactive process to develop academic and non-academic accommodations, providing support for a caseload of students, referring students to appropriate campus resources, and providing education, training, and support to campus partners. The Accessibility Counselor will coordinate housing accommodations and caseload management.
SUNY Oneonta's Office of Accessibility Resources is committed to creating an accessible educational experience for students with disabilities. We partner with students, faculty, and other college resources to design accessible environments and to coordinate accommodations for entitled students under federal legislation. In doing so, we affirm the worth of each individual and the spirit of diversity inherent in an inclusive college. We encourage self-advocacy for students and assist faculty and staff in meeting the needs of all SUNY Oneonta students.
