Job SummaryTo provide accompaniment for instrumental and choral ensembles and individual student juries, performances, auditions, and master classes.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide accompaniment for instrumental/choral student ensemble performances and rehearsals.Provide accompaniment for specialized music classes.Provide accompaniment for new student auditions, scholarship auditions and other special events.Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesAbility to provide and/or compose musical selections appropriate to dance genre.Education and ExperienceSpecial training or coursework that would facilitate composing and improvising music and/or coaching and accompanying and experience which has led to a thorough familiarity with accompanying choral groups and soloists (instrumental and vocal) or interpretive dances is required. Ability to sight read music scores preferred.CompensationThe salary range for this classification is $20.22 to $35.43 per hour.Time BaseThis is an Accompanist II Pool and is intended for qualified applicants to be called upon for temporary appointments, in any department on campus, on an as-needed basis. Temporary appointments may be cancelled at any time.
