This position is responsible for generating demand for the Specialty Lab Chemicals products focused on Industrial and other customer segments. Key aspects of the role and responsibilities include retention of existing customers, generating new customer leads through regular visits and follow-up to meet sales objectives, converting leads/opportunities to confirmed orders, and sustaining relationships with customers while managing channel partners to achieve set goals.
Responsibilities will include:Drive sales of the company's lab chemical products per assigned targets in large and mid-scale Industrial and other customer segments where such products are used for research, application, or other business purposes.Develop and grow commercial relationships with assigned customers and work towards increasing the wallet size with existing and newly acquired customers over time.Collaborate closely with the business development team to review the sales pipeline to drive new business opportunities for commercial success.Update customer data in CRM, submit activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual account analysis.Manage existing accounts, obtain orders, identify market opportunities through meetings, networking, and other channels, and create execution paths for result achievement (proficient in Plan, Organize, Execute, Review) including the distribution channel.Collate market feedback on competitors' activities such as product offerings, prices, new products, and delivery schedules and provide inputs to the sales leadership team for reviewing the company's strategy and approach.Meet existing and potential clients to build positive relationships and a pipeline of opportunities.Effectively manage the channel partner network by implementing organizational guidelines.Resolve customer complaints within set timelines.Required Experience & KnowledgeEducation: Graduate/Postgraduate in Science; MBA is an added advantage.
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in handling a specialty chemicals portfolio.Prior experience in the life science/pharma industry is recommended.Physical DemandSupervisory ResponsibilitiesNone
