About the Role
Avatara is seeking to add experienced, self-motivated account professionals to our team. We are in search of Account Managers who know now the value of customer success. Helping the client find the right solution for their increasingly demanding IT needs spanning value creation, end-user performance and productivity, scalability, cost savings, compliance, and the Avatara platform services. This position is for full-time roles based in our downtown St. Louis, MO, headquarters.
This is not simply a transactional position. You will be expected to build relationships and become a trusted advisor to entry level roles and C-Level executives.
This is not just account management. You will also be the boots on the ground and actively maintain relationships and be responsible for customer success and sentiment.
This is not an unsupported role. You will have the backing of an organization dedicated to helping our customers and committed to customer success.
This not simply an island role. Team members will seek you out for advice and counsel. You seek to win as well as help others around you because you know that when the team wins, we all win.

Consultative  - You would rather build relationships, dig in with the client, and get excited about the opportunity to solve their needs and challenges.
Motivated  - by improving customer success, sentiment and building customer relationships
Business savvy  - Maybe you have had your own business or have the spirit of an entrepreneur. Either way you have the heart of a business owner and know how to get to the heart of other business owners.
Good with people  - You are able to take on an advisory role with the business owner or C- suite in a professional manner.
A closer  - You are skilled and creative and know how to influence others to improve the customer experience and see things through.
What you will do
Develop plans for revenue retention and churn mitigation.
Manage customer relationships with business owners and C-suite executives virtually and
travel to meet in person to explain how Avatara's solutions can solve their challenges.
Track customer dashboards to understand the level of customer experience.
Work closely with internal teams related to escalations, orders, support cases, and billing.

Skills and Requirements
The following are preferred for eligibility:
Bachelor's degree or related experience
Ability to empathize with and understand the customers' needs
Collaborate and be a driving force with cross functional teams to develop executable plans that provide a positive customer experience
Have strong analytical skills to identify potential trends and build plans to further improve customer experience and avoid churn
Willingness to travel in support of your customers
Strong communication skills in face-to-face and virtual environments
Experience building and maintaining strong business relationships with all levels of client organizations
Ability to work in a fast-paced and self-directed entrepreneurial environment
Strong success in managing your time and prioritizing tasks to accomplish goals
Ability to work as a self-starter, independently, and in team environments
Strong attention to detail
