As the Account Manager - North East you will manage all key regional customers, build important relationships & be responsible for growing revenue in the North East. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in Sales & Account Management within the Food & Beverage industry, and be a great cultural fit to our tight-knit team. You will report directly to the Director of Sales and work out of our headquarters in Bergen County, NJ.
Responsibilities: Regional Account Management - achieve annual sales, trade spending, and profit goals at key regional customers across the Northeast (Wakefern, Ahold, Giant Eagle, Harris Teeter, Wegmans, Big Y, Market Basket, TOPS & Independants)Trade Budget Management - across key regional customers (Trade Spend, Deductions, Slotting, Merchandising, Broker Fees, etc.), ensuring all plans are accurately tracked and reconciled. Build & maintain strong relationships at regional accounts to drive sales growth, open new doors, sell in features and displays, maximize profitability and market share.Manage Broker Network - including planning and executing in-store merchandising and secondary display programs.Joint Business Planning - conduct regular business reviews with top customers to identify opportunities for growth and improvementForecasting & Demand Planning - accountable for customer and SKU level demand forecasts, working closely with internal Sales and Supply Chain teams to track and manage customer orders and DC inventoryTrade Spend management -negotiate pricing and trade spend agreements with regional accounts to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships360 planning - collaborate with Internal Sales, Operations and Marketing functions to ensure effective and timely execution of account strategiesIndustry Events & Tradeshows - represent LOVE CORN at key selling events such as line reviews, trade shows, distributor events, etc.Willing to travel 30% - To attend relevant tradeshows, client meetings & time in the trade to keep finger on the pulse of retailers & customers. Qualifications / Requirements: Proven ability to drive an immediate impact and growth in alignment with profit and brand-building goalsMinimum 3 years of direct selling and broker management experience within CPG industry is required Experience managing UNFI, KeHE, & regional distributors is requiredExperience selling to East Regional Grocers, e.g. (Wakefern, Ahold, Giant Eagle, Harris Teeter, Wegmans, Big Y, Market Basket)Direct experience with Trade Promotions and Customer Portals (e.g. KeHE, UNFI) is required Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Syndicated Data (e.g., Nielsen/SPINS/Circana)Data-driven approach with a strong attention to detailPositive, strong, can-do attitude with a collaborative way of working with cross-functional partnersAbility to operate independently and as part of a larger team with a collaboration-first mindsetExcellent communication skills, with experience presenting to executive level personnel at top RetailersAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment Ability to travel 30% of the time Benefits: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Equity in LOVE CORNMedical, dental, and vision coverage.401KOpportunities for professional development and advancement within the company.Unlimited Paid Time Off!
