Summary of Position:
Fortune Fish & Gourmet is looking to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist to join the Bensenville team!
The Accounts Payable Clerk responsibilities are to processing invoices received for payment in a timely and accurate manner, working with procurement and warehouse operations to resolve discrepancies and providing support to vendor payment inquiries.
The AP Clerk is responsible to ensure adherence to company polices as it relates to the Accounts Payable and Accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.Perform 3-way match of received purchase orders to invoices.Ensure that all bills and payments are being accounted and properly posted.Verify and investigate discrepancies if any by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clientsGenerate reports detailing accounts payable status.Assists corporate financial officers and location personnel as necessary.Assists in monthly closings.Perform filing and coping.Assist with check runs for other locations.Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Minimum Requirements: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.Proven work experience in accounts payable - minimum two years of relevant accounts payable experience.Work ethic - A sense of urgency in meeting critical and time sensitive deadlines with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Technical: Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products required, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP system a plus, and data entry skills.Strong interpersonal skills required to function within the accounting team. Fortune Fish & Gourmet is an equal opportunity employer.
