Accounting Assistant

Tansky Sawmill Toyota is currently seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team! The ideal applicant must demonstrate good administrative skills, basic accounting skills, and knowledge of routine accounting functions. We strive to offer our customers a valuable experience during each visit with us!Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Perform basic and routine accounting functionsProcess all new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titledPrepare tax and title documents and submit all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor VehiclesCompile and maintain a complete list of all outstanding title work. Report to management on the status of any missing or problem titles and provide a current list of outstanding titles to the comptroller at the end of month.Maintain and reconcile schedulesAssist in processing car dealsCheck all vouchers and obtain appropriate payment approvalPost invoicesDisburse checksPrepare accounts for payments and verify data in systemFollow up on past due accounts and returned checksRequirementsA positive attitudeAbility to multi-taskHave an accounting degree or some courseworkAutomotive experience a plusWhat We Offer:Health and dental insurance401k programPaid training
