Summit Point is currently seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team. The assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks within the accounting department. They will provide accounting and clerical support to office staff and assist with the achievements of the accounting departments goals. This position will support our Sr. Accountant and Business Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for: Daily entry of vendor invoices in coordination with PM and Procurement Entry of direct debit vendor payments Setup new vendors and update vendor profiles Review of Expense Reports Prepare and mail vendor checks Mobile deposit of checks received Assist Sr Accountant with month end closing activities Job Requirements and Qualifications: Required Qualifications: The position does not need any experience but should have a High School diploma or GED equivalent. To be successful you will need to have the ability to handle multiple priorities, possess written and verbal skills for effective communication, be competent in organizational, time management skills and demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills. Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications. Prior knowledge or use of Unanet is a must.
