Position Summary:
The Accounting Clerk supports the financial operations of the organization by maintaining accurate financial records and assisting in financial transactions. This role involves tasks such as monitoring & processing client payments, client invoicing, and contributing to collections tracking. The Accounting Clerk works closely with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

This role supports the organization's fiscal responsibility and strategic planning by ensuring accurate financial data and compliance with payment processing standards.
In this role, you will: Categorize Financial Activity: Code transactions in financial systems to ensure reporting is accurate & timely. Onboarding Support: Perform new client setups within key financial systems as part of the onboarding process. Operational Support: Partner with Operations to provide elite services to clients regarding financial matters. Financial Record Support: Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Support ACH payment transactions and client invoicing processes. Reporting Assistance: Provide support in preparing financial statements and reports, aiding in the analysis of financial data to provide insights into the organization's financial performance. Compliance Support: Assist in ensuring adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies, particularly related to ACH payment processing and client invoicing. Budget Support: Aid in providing financial data to support the budgeting process, assisting in financial trend analysis and projections related to client invoicing and collections. Success Criteria: Accuracy and Timeliness: Contribute to maintaining a high level of accuracy & attention to detail in financial records while meeting reporting deadlines. Ensuring that financial records reconcile with the bank and consistently process client payments in accordance with schedules. Compliance Adherence: Support efforts to maintain compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements related to financial transactions. Ensure 100% compliance with payment regulations, client invoicing standards, and reconciliation procedures. Budget Support: Assist in achieving budgetary goals by providing accurate financial data and supporting effective financial resource management. Aim for a variance of less than 5% between projected and actual expenses. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. 1+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles is desirable. Ability to assist in analyzing financial data and trends to provide support in decision-making processes. Basic understanding of accounting principles and compliance requirements related to financial transactions. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, as well as Microsoft Excel and Google Drive. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey financial information accurately. Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial records and payment processing. Ability to adapt to evolving financial regulations and technology changes impacting the Finance Department.
