Essential Functions: Process various forms and other financial information and materials.Balance and reconcile assigned accounts and/or funds.Research and reconcile any problems or discrepancies.Conduct research on best pricing and analyze options.Prepare financial reports.Provide information and respond to inquiries; may advise departments on policies and procedures relating to budget and other financial questions.Review various financial forms and records.Attend all required meetings/trainings.Perform related work as required or assigned.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Understanding of modern accounting methods.Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Excel).Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Resourceful and take initiative.Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, consistency, organizational skills, and willingness to work with a high volume of details.Previous experience managing a budget and creating financial reports.Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.Required Qualifications: Current DU undergraduate or graduate student enrolled for the ******** academic year.Physical Activities: Manual dexterity for handling tools and materials.Lifting and carrying capabilities for managing objects of varying weights.Bending or kneeling abilities for tasks at varying heights.This position is eligible for a federal work-study, which requires eligibility through the Financial Aid Office.Students will be paid $18.29-26.50 according to the student employee pay rate scale with the opportunity for yearly increases, dependent on performance.In compliance with Colorado's Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA), non-benefited employees accrue one hour of paid leave for every 30 hours worked up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.Additional Details: Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
