Job Summary: The Accounting Controller will be responsible for managing the accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information for all entities within the group. This role requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional with a strong accounting and financial management background, particularly in the telecommunications sector. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to drive financial performance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements for multiple entities within the group. Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies. Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and adjustments. Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance. Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process. Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and providing actionable insights to senior management. Prepare and present financial reports to executive leadership, highlighting key metrics and financial health. Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives. Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk to optimize the company's financial position. Implement and enhance accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role. Experience in the telecommunications, construction, or transportation industry or related field is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and integrity.
