Accounting Coordinator

Position is responsible for coordinating financial accounting functions for the city.
Accounting Coordinator Hourly Range: $22.13— $30.99
The Position: This position is responsible for coordinating financial accounting functions for the city.
Major Duties: Researches, prepares and codes payables for proper classification of accounts.Executes and prepares checks for payments to vendors.Maintains accounts payable files and records.Processes bi-weekly payroll and payroll taxes.Maintains monthly fuel usage records.Maintains monthly warehouse inventory records.Invoices customers for miscellaneous receivables.Reconciles daily utility balance sheets to check reports and deposits receipts.Makes employee travel and training reservations.Distributes inventoried supplies to employees in the absence of the Purchasing Agent.Assists in the operation of the municipal court functions.Reconciles credit card receivables.Reconciles maintenance records; distributes petty cash reimbursements.Provide limited back up to the Finance Director in their absence.Performs related duties.Minimum Qualifications: Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field required.More than two years of related experience required.Experience in public sector accounting is highly desirable.Possession of or the ability to obtain Local Government Level 1 Finance Officer Certification.APPLY NOW: Applications and full job description may be picked up at Sandersville City Hall, 141 W.
