Pay Rate: $22 - $23Location:5065 Wooster Road, 2Cincinnati OH 45226The Global Fund Custody Functional Opening team provides dedicated support to Global Fund Services custody clients in helping set up their accounts on internal systems. As functional opener, you will work with internal contacts to open accounts in our cash system, grant access to multiple systems and review to make sure all systems are set up correctly from the start. These accounts are established to hold assets of mutual funds, exchange traded funds, hedge funds, private equity funds, and other investment portfolio accounts.As a functional opener, you will be accountable for the following:•Validate new account documentation is completed•Ensure account openings are processed timely and accurately based on client elections with critical documents being retained within systems of record, including initiation of fee billing for new accounts•Effectively communicate efforts, status updates, and challenges to all internal contacts, ensuring proper escalation as needed•Embracing technology and finding new ways to solve problemsAs an early career position, our broader team will help you grow and develop to gain experience and understanding of our customers, product, and provided services. We provide a career path that can lead to working on deals of more complexity and with increasing autonomy.Basic Qualifications:•Associate degree, or equivalent work experience•Two to four years of job-related experience, preferably in institutional trust and/or financial industryPreferred Skills/Experience•Thorough knowledge of trust administration, mutual fund products, and sales•Thorough knowledge of account management, trust operations, project management, and legal regulations•Ability to resolve complex problems with minimal guidance•Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsPerforms a variety of operational duties within an assigned area of Investment Operations.¿ Researches and resolves operational and/or accounting exceptions, some of which may involve extensive review.¿ Interfaces with Investment and other internal personnel to resolve issues and ensure efficient service to customers.¿ Ensures the accuracy of account statements and information.¿ Verifies account entries, ensures totals balance and prepares correcting adjustments as needed.¿ Ensures that all documentation requirements are satisfied.¿ Responds to telephone or written inquiries and performs research necessitated by special requests from customers, brokers or internal employees.
