Description: About this opportunity

The successful candidate will be a key member of the corporate accounting team, with primary responsibilities related to overseeing the monthly and quarterly general ledger closes.
In addition, the candidate will collaborate with other corporate accounting and finance functions, such as Revenue/Cost Accounting; Internal and SEC Reporting; and Financial Planning and Analysis.
The position will manage 4 team members.


Job Responsibilities: What you will do Oversee general ledger close and supervise the AEMEA general accounting team.
Manage month-end/quarter-end close responsibilities and ensure timely and accurate close cycles.
Maintain general ledgers in accordance with US GAAP accounting standards and DZS accounting policies.
Prepare and review journal entries.
Review account reconciliations, investigating discrepancies.
Ensure consistency of account treatment and classifications of transactions.
Perform analysis of financial results and prepare financial summary information to support internal management reporting and the consolidation process.
Liaise with external auditors regarding financial statement audits and SOX compliance testing.
Maintain documentation of processes and procedures for SOX compliance purposes and ensure internal control activities are consistently performed.
Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff.
Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications: What you will bring A bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is required.
CPA preferred.
Minimum 7 years of general accounting experience required; experience with telecom or other high-tech equipment manufacturers a plus.
Big 4 audit experience preferred.
A mix of public accounting and private company experience is a plus.
Experience with a major ERP (Oracle, SAP, etc.)
is strongly desired.
Experience with process improvement projects and ability to manage multiple ongoing projects.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.
Diligent, highly efficient, and accurate, with extreme attention to detail and exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Self-starter, effective follow through, and timely in providing status updates.
Strong interpersonal/communication skills are required; both written and verbal communications ability is critical.
Should be quick learner who has the ability to work both independently and within a team environment and is accustomed to working with tight deadlines.
Able to work flexible hours as needed during peak times.
Desire to work in a dynamic, nimble, entrepreneurial, empowered environment, yet one that is committed to best practice and to upholding the expectations of an SEC registrant.
