Accounting Manager Position Summary and Responsibilities CFS is partnering with a local Manufacturing organization to identify their next Accounting Manager to join their Accounting Team.
This individual would be responsible for managing and assisting the Fixed Asset and Real Estate Tax accountants with all duties.

High growth organization Promotes internal growth and promotions National organization Leader in their industry Essential Functions of the Position Manage the day-to-day responsibilities of the fixed asset and real estate tax accountants. Monthly workpapers, reconciliations, journal entries, SOX compliance, internal and external audits, month end close, and to coordinate with A/P as necessary, as well as any other related projects that may arise. Oversee and own the reconciliation of key fixed asset / real estate tax subledgers to the general ledger. Assist the Fixed Asset and Real Estate Tax teams with month end close. Work with fixed asset accountants to ensure all fixed asset transactions are recorded as necessary. Review and approve journal entries of direct reports Perform timely reviews of monthly workpapers and reconciliations of the accounting staff to ensure that they are complete and accurate. Liaise with other managers and department heads as needed to ensure processes relating to fixed assets and property taxes are designed properly. Coordinate with the tax and treasury department as well as municipalities on for real property and other audits. Coordinate with internal and external auditors ensuring complete, timely, and accurate responses to information requests. Handle ad hoc fixed asset and real estate projects as need arises. Qualifications BS/BA in accounting, finance or equivalent. 6+ years of accounting experience required with fixed asset experience preferred. 2+ years of prior leadership experience reviewing and instructing other staff. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrate an understanding of accounting, financial reporting and internal control principles and practices. Have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g.
Microsoft Dynamics 365). Must be self-motivated, organized and dependable with a strong attention to detail.
