Advanced Architectural Products (A2P), creator of GreenGirt CMH continuous insulation and SMARTci building enclosure systems, is a 10+ year old company specializing in composite metal hybrid products that are energy efficient and sustainable for the high growth commercial building industry. A2P is expanding our Accounting Department and is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Accounting Specialist, located in Allegan, MI. This candidate will be able to work independently and be able to not only identify but solve any problems when encountered. They should have a strong grasp of technology and be comfortable with SAP and QuickBooks. Discretion is critical because this position will be working with sensitive data. The successful candidate will have a mix of responsibilities and will be a self-motivated and highly organized individual who can manage several projects simultaneously. This role requires strong communication skills, an energetic personality, and a strong work ethic. Responsibilities:Maintain documentation for all transactions, balances, and journal entriesEnsure compliance with GAAPAccounts PayableMonthly credit card reconciliationComplete month end and quarter end closeMonitor and maintain Inventory ControlComplete annual budget and forecastsCreate and maintain spreadsheets and pivot tablesCreate monthly financial statements and present to managementAnalyze financial results and identify trends and provide pertinent solutions as neededMaintain monthly/quarterly Sale Tax state returnsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred or experience in related fields3-5+ years of previous experienceProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)QuickBooks and Fixed Assets experienceAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyStrong organizational, prioritization and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality on sensitive projectsWillingness to help where neededExperience:Microsoft Excel: 3+ years (required)SAP ERP: 3+ years (required)GAAP Accounting: 3+ years (required)Accounting: 3+ years (required)Cost accounting: 3+ years (required)Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $60,000 – $75,000 per year
Schedule: 1st shift, Monday to Friday
