Our client, an award-winning institution known for its impactful services, is looking for an organized Accounting Specialist to join their team.
Based in downtown Seattle, this role will support accurate financial operations, collaborating with teams and vendors to ensure smooth accounting processes.

Overview of the Accounting Specialist role: Process all payment expenditures accurately and on time. Oversee accounts payable, managing records for an assigned department portfolio. Serve as a responsive point of contact for inquiries on payments and billing. Investigate and resolve any payment discrepancies or disputes. Ensure precise recording of financial transactions. Assist with month-end and annual closing tasks, including account analysis. Support various projects, including research and data analysis for department reports. Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting Specialist: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Experience with automated financial systems; PeopleSoft 9.2 is a plus. Strong skills in relaying information, addressing inquiries, and resolving discrepancies.
