Job Duties: This Accounting Technician is the principal financial support position for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine. Under the direction of the Department Administrator, the Accounting Technician will work collaboratively with department faculty and other support staff, other University, BSOM departments and ECU Health to effectively execute financial and administrative activities supporting the clinical, educational, research, and service missions of the Department. This includes all aspects of payable and receivable contracts including tracking contracts in process; initiation and timely completion of payable and receivable transactions; insuring compliance with contract terms as well as University and BSOM policies and procedures, and identifying and independently initiating problem resolution actions as required. This position will prepare routine and ad hoc reports and analysis using Microsoft Office, Banner Finance, INB , E-print, ECUBIC , ODS , and FSPC software.

This position will assist in the preparation and management of the annual department budget including preparation of detailed schedules for FFS and contract revenue, as well as personnel, operating and capital expenses; preparation of interim analysis of actual budget; preparation and execution of budget transfers as required; and assist in the preparation of pro forma analysis and new program proposals.
