Position Description
ZemiTek is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Accountant to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the accounts payable function, including vendor set-up, accurate coding of invoices, cash disbursements, and credit card transaction entries.
You will also perform account reconciliations, prepare audit reports, and assist with various accounting duties as needed.
The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), experience with Deltek - Costpoint, and exceptional financial analysis skills.
Additionally, we value someone who is proficient in Excel, highly organized, and capable of working independently under pressure.
Location: Remote (nationwide)
Work Schedule: Full-time
Starting Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000 a year with the starting salary determined based on candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
Responsibilities
• Accounts Payable - review invoices, get appropriate approvals, enter, and post in Deltek.
• Reconcile company credit cards.
• Keep track of all consultant and vendor purchase orders in Deltek.
• Assist with monthly customer billing/invoicing.
• Monthly credit card account reconciliations as assigned.
• Assist other finance team members as needed.
• Respond to emails related to vendor invoices, payments, and other such inquiries.
• Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
• Perform other accounting duties and support accounting team members as required or assigned.
• Assist in annual financial statements audit.
Qualifications
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in accounting experience; OR a High School Diploma and nine (9) years of relevant work accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of Deltek/Costpoint
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong financial analysis skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and stress management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
• Ability to work well independently.
