Job Description: The AP Auditor will be accounts payable focused and work towards implementing operating efficiencies and increasing gross profit. We are seeking a results-driven professional with a proven ability to strategically reduce cost of goods sold (COGS) while maintaining operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail, while identifying cost-saving opportunities and effectively collaborating across multiple departments. As a member of the Finance team, you will be responsible for improving upon proven processes and collaborating closely with the VP of Accounting, Controller, and Operational Accounting Manager to ensure answers around financials. Responsibilities: Assist the AP/Audit team in ensuring 100% cost accuracy within our proprietary system Audit supplier invoices, cross-check invoiced costs with data in our proprietary system, and identify inconsistencies to work with relevant teams to resolve discrepancies Analyze and interpret operational data to identify trends, cost inefficiencies, and opportunities for margin improvement Collaborate with internal teams to continuously refine and optimize the supplier onboarding process Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points Help develop and support short and long-term finance operational strategies Assist in the development, maintenance, and administration of financial and operational policies to support strong internal controls Make process improvement recommendations with regards to policies and procedures Provide analytical and accounting support to month-end closing process and ensure ongoing integrity of assigned accounts Ensure that the company adheres to local, state, and federal financial regulations, including tax compliance, reporting, and audit requirements Assist management on special assignments as requested Requirements: BS/BA in Accounting/Finance/Analytics/Business or similar and two years of work experience required Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential with an emphasis on building new spreadsheets, analyzing large data sets and using advanced functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and IF() statements required Experience in operations, logistics, freight-forwarding preferred NetSuite / Looker / BILL experience preferred Ability to independently own and manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls Strong analytical and quantitative skills, accuracy, and attention to detail Highly detail-oriented candidate demonstrating a strong commitment to precision and quality in all tasks Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports, presentations, and project documentation Displays a passionate commitment to the goals of the team and the company Ability to multitask, meet simultaneous deadlines, and effectively work under pressure Compensation: Competitive total salary package 401K program, high-quality health, and dental care plan options Lunches, onsite gym, and more Core Values: We are One Team.
