Perform accounting and clerical duties related to the efficient maintenance and processing of
accounts payable transactions.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assemble, review, and verify invoicesCode and scan invoices into system timely Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or pricesGenerate past due vendor aging reportsReconcile accounts payable transactionsFollow up the correct payments to the vendorsPrepare analysis of accounts Review vendor statements regularlyOrganize expense reports and process for paymentResolve vendor payment issuesAssist in set up of new vendorsCreate purchases orders as neededAssist with year-end audit requestMaintain confidentiality of organizational informationAssist in the maintenance of department related recordsOther duties as assignedTrack and report on key performance indicators (KPIs): as the cash prompt vendor
discounts tracker, etc. SKILLS: Proficient in Excel and SAPExcellent organization and communication skillsComfortable in a Plant or Corporate environment1 - 3 years of AP experienceBasic journal entry and financial reporting knowledgeComplies with all company policies and proceduresAdditional duties as assigned by managementCandidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:Prior accounts payables position experience (2 years) Post-secondary educational degree (2 to 4 year degree from college, university, technical school, military, vocational or other advanced educational institution) LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret financial statements, general business periodicals, professional
journals, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write
routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and
employees of the company.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions,
percentages, area, volume, and net present value.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations
where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Computer literate (MS Office including Word and Excel as well as accounting software)
Proficient knowledge and application of accounting principles
