LaSalle Network has a great direct hire opportunity for an Accounts Payable Manager located Brentwood, TN. This is a hybrid position. The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for managing our client's accounts payable function in a professional and knowledgeable manner. This position directs and oversees the daily management of the accounts payable staff. The AP function includes the accurate keying or uploading of expense invoices, proper matching of merchandise invoices, processing of payments to vendors, accounting for purchasing and travel expense cards and participation in the monthly close process. This position ensures company policies and procedures are being adhered to as they pertain to accounts payable.Accounts Payable Manager Responsibilities: Manages and develops a team of accounts payable specialists that verify and process expense and merchandise invoices and issue paymentsEnsures that invoices or other financial obligations are processed and paid in a timely mannerReconciles AP subledger, RNI report and other payable related general ledger accounts on a monthly basis to ensure that the subledger and general ledger stay in balance and that there are no aged itemsOversees the company's purchasing and travel credit card programs to ensure expenses are properly approved, recorded and paidPerforms month-end closing journal entries related to AP accruals and various AP accountsWorks directly with the buying team and direct sourcing team with regards to adjusting payment terms and allowances for each vendor to maximize cash flow and allowances on invoicesEstablishes process improvements to increase the efficiency of the accounts payable departmentInterprets, updates and enforces the invoice approval matrix and other AP policies/ proceduresPartners with Accounting to meet the monthly closing schedule deadlines May recruit, hire, train, evaluate employee performance and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers and disciplinary actionReviews and updates Sarbanes Oxley flowcharts and risk/control matrixes related to the accounts payable processesAssists with internal and external audit request Champions and demonstrates a commitment to company valuesAccounts Payable Manager Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field5+ years of high-volume AP experience with at 2+ years of supervisory experience Previous AP supervisory experience for a retailer preferredAny combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the responsibilities of this positionExperience with Oracle Retail Invoice Matching and/or the Infor general ledger systemDemonstrated ability to contribute strategically by identifying, developing and implementing process improvementsProven ability to prepare Accounts Payable related balance sheet account reconciliations and monthly entriesComprehensive knowledge of account payable policies, procedures and practices Excellent interpersonal communication and time management skillsHigh ethical and professional standardsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work as a part of a teamHighly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
