Accounts Payable Specialist - Freight Location: Corporate Office - Fort Worth, TX $23-$25/hr COMPANY

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide financial, administrative and clerical support by ensuring payments are completed and expenses are controlled by receiving payments, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.
Requirements DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies Assist in month end closing Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices Assist with other projects as assigned by management Crosstrain to backup AP Lead QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience At least 2+ years accounts payable experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficient in MSOffice, including strong Excel skills Great Plains experience a plus Analytic skills to quickly and accurately assimilate information making sound business decisions Understand importance of 'do what you say' OTHER DUTIES
