Overview: SimVentions, consistently voted one of Virginia's Best Places to Work, is looking for a dynamic new team member to join our growing Finance Team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will process all accounts payable transactions correctly and timely including subcontractor invoices, vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and various other transactions. They will use safeguards to protect against fraudulent transactions and take precautions to avoid the appearance of it. Travel: Some travel to other offices may be required. Travel to conferences may be required/desired, but will be minimal. Clearance: No Celarance is required for this position howeve, all SimVentions employee-owners must be clearance eligible. United States Citizenship is required. Requirements: One or more years of accounting or accounts payable experienceStrong knowledge accounting principles and practicesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects at one time and ability to multi-taskThorough research and problem-solving skillsAttention to detailAbility to work with a teamGood research and analysis skills Responsibilities: Maintain proprietary and confidential informationFile bills received from vendors (scanning hard copies as needed)Enter vendor transactions into the accounting system for approval, posting, and paymentReview subcontractor invoices for accuracy and complianceProcess, track, and pay subcontractor invoicesReview expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company and government policies, working with employees to revise, troubleshoot, and submitProcess expense reports for paymentEnter expense reports for employees when neededReconcile expense requests and expense reportsApprove Purchase Requests by confirming the correct account/expense type for the type of projectProcess travel advances and return of fundsProvide expense request/report training to employees as requested and ad hocCreate ACH payments and print and mail checksEnter transactions processed against company credit card(s)Special projects as assigned Preferred Skills and Experience: Unanet GovCon experienceAccounts payable experience Education: Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting-related field Compensation: Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements. The projected annual compensation range for this position is $52,000-$65,000 and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
