About the Accounts Payable Specialist: The AP Specialist at Avalon will handle all responsibilities related to the accurate processing of accounts payables. This position requires exceptional attention to detail. To best service our internal clients, the person in this role should have a positive and helpful demeanor and work to answer all queries on a timely basis. This role requires someone with the utmost integrity and ability to properly handle and protect confidential data.
This position is eligible for remote work, but quarterly travel to the corporate office in Tampa, Florida may be required. Accounts Payable Specialist - Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Manage new / existing vendors in NetSuite and in Bill.com.Process all invoices in Bill.com.Process all credit card transactions in Bill.com and obtain all receipts from internal departments.Monitor approvals in Bill.com and follow-up with internal department heads as necessary.Monitor the Avalon AP email inbox and respond to or provide information to vendors as necessary.Process HSA payments via Bill.com and Wells Fargo, and follow-up with internal departments as necessary.Process employee reimbursements via Concur for payroll and mark paid in NetSuite.Create purchase orders for IT purchases.Prepare balance sheet reconciliations associated with AP / payroll such as cash, AP, payroll clearing, and PTO.Write and maintain associated SOPs.Assist with month-end close and other department projects as needed.Accounts Payable Specialist - Qualifications: 2 years' experience in processing accounts payableHigh school degree or equivalent required; Associates' degree preferredAbility to process 275 – 300 invoices monthly.Good working knowledge of Bill.com (AP), Concur (expense reporting), and NetSuite (accounting) or other closely related applications.Previous experience with banking software.Must have good working knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, and the ability to create & manipulate reports in Excel.
