Accounts Receivable Analyst

General Description The responsibilities of the Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist will include:
Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.Process and issue credit memos as needed to ensure customer AR balances are accurately stated.Navigate retail customer portals to obtain claims of shortages, late shipment, defective merchandise, incorrect pricing, or deductions for rebates and allowances, as well as track claims for other customer types which do not have portals.Research and resolve payment discrepancies, including system variances.Copy, file, and retrieve materials for accounts receivable as needed.Identify and implement improvements to accounts receivable processes.Perform special projects as needed.Work Experience Requirements 2+ years' experience and general knowledge of Accounts Receivable function.Skilled in communicating to both internal and external customers.Essential Knowledge, Skills and Training Must be extremely organized and motivated, with excellent attention to detail, and possess strong verbal, written, and computer skills, including a high proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, able to manage priorities and workflow.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Education Requirements Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
