Essential Job Functions:
Under the direction of the Supervisor of Accounting, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for proper posting of deposits and maintaining online payment processing system. Duties include, but are not limited to, reviewing all daily deposits and posting to GL; maintaining electronic payment system; training school and departments on uploading fees and other invoices into electronic payment system; serving as back-up for budget secretaries across the District as needed due to extended absences and/or vacancies; and serving as back-up for school store account secretaries at middle and high schools as needed due to extended absences and/or vacancies.

Qualifications :

Minimum 5 years of accounts receivable experience, preferably in governmental or non-profit accounting
Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent
Strong math skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google sheets
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Detail and deadline-oriented
Good attendance record
Ability to sit for long periods at a computer
Able to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
Ability to pass a thorough background check
