Job summary
Accounts Payable Specialist position with Henkels & McCoy West, LLC.Requires at least 3 years of experience in Construction accountingCompetence in financial and JD Edwards bookkeeping software is necessary

Responsibilities
• Complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices in JD Edwards• Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances• Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices and recording entries• Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal ID numbers, and resolving discrepancies• Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos• Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions• Maintain historical records by scanning and filing documents• Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential• Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
