University of Maryland Capital Region Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Practitioner, Acute Care Surgery/TraumaThe APP will provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services to patientsThis position requires 24-hour coverage and participation in on-call shifts

Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive, critical care, and medical management for patients• Participate in the perioperative spectrum, including critical care, med/surg care, and surgical first assisting• Perform routine and expanded job duties listed in the provider's delegation agreement• Maintain a procedure complication rate less than the national average• Utilize information systems to gather patient data and ensure accurate recording in the chart• Facilitate excellence in quality assurance and the delivery of patient care• Maintain patient confidentiality and respect their rights to privacy and dignity• Assist patients, physicians, staff, visitors, and colleagues in a courteous and professional manner
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree and graduation from an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program or current certification to practice as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner• Mandatory certification by the NCCPA and registration with the Maryland State Board of Medical Examiners• One year of surgical, emergency, or critical care experience is preferred• Participation in appropriate continuing medical education programs• Credentialing from University of Maryland Capital Region Health's Medical Staff Office• Maintenance of CPR/BLS and ACLS certification
