About the Role:
Join an agile self-motivated team responsible for the development and implementation of advanced survivability systems for ground combat vehicles.
The function of this position is to lead a cross-functional team to coordinate activities for the development of Active Protection Systems (APS) for integration to US based ground combat platforms.

Develop and implement technical program plans with product teams and functional management within program scope, cost, and schedule.
Responsible for interfacing with Customers and/or GDLS Sr.
Leadership.
Exercise authority and responsibility for products and tasks to help integrate cross-functional technical scope within schedule and other constraints.
Help project team to ensure a balanced and compliant design.
Coordinate with supply chain to manage purchases, negotiate with suppliers, and manage material deliveries to support program objectives.
Coordinate with suppliers to understand and execute program scope Lead program risk management including identifying risk candidates and risk mitigation plans.
Develop and foster a cohesive team, and to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
Lead the planning, execution, and coordination of development tasks during the design phase and physical and functional integration and test activities during the implementation phase.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications / What you must have Bachelor's degree required in Engineering Minimum of 15 years' experience in the relevant fields of project management and vehicle protection systems Experience in leading large engineering projects Experience leading teams in technical development projects Experience in military vehicle development and integration Program and/or project management experience required.
Customer interface experience with USG (Defense sector preferred) and/or external suppliers required.
Strategic thinking and planning preferred.
Team / Matrix management experience preferred.
Experience in interpreting higher level customer requirements and flowing them down to technology areas Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering principles Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
Additional Information This position will require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance.
(Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance) Must be willing to work in an office, lab, proto-type and test site environments.
The candidate will need to have strong written and oral communication skills.
Able to work overtime when required.
Limited travel may be required, up to 15% GDLS considers factors such as, scope/responsibilities of the position, candidate experience, education/training background, in addition to local market comparable and business considerations when extending an offer.
