Stoney Point Meadows, a 95-unit senior living community, is hiring an Activities Director to join our team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa!
This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position working Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm.
Our building is nestled in the quiet countryside meadows of southwest Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In addition to idyllic views, staff enjoy being close to shopping, entertainment, and medical services. Our six-acre campus is located on Stoney Point Road and 16th Ave; easily accessible! We are proud of our staff to resident ratio, which allows us to provide exceptional care to our residents and make them happy. Activities Director Responsibilities: Create and schedule Activities calendar for residents and administer these activities. Promote physical exercise, social interaction, emotional support and involvement. Prepare monthly newsletter for residents and family members. Oversee Activities Assistant in Memory Care. Perform additional tasks as needed. Activities Director Skills and Requirements: One year of Activities experience. Is compassionate, motivated, and a self-starter. Desire to work with the elderly in an assisted living setting. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to meet physical requirements of the job. Functional knowledge of computer hardware and software. Ability to respect confidentiality of resident information. Ability to manage diverse individuals and multiple priorities at once.
