*Overview:* We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ACNP will provide advanced nursing care to patients with complex, acute, and critical conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent critical thinking skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
*Responsibilities:*
* Perform comprehensive assessments, including history taking and physical examinations, to evaluate patients' acute health conditions.
* Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures to determine accurate diagnoses.
* Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans for patients with acute and critical conditions.
* Prescribe medications, therapies, and other treatments as needed.
* Provide ongoing monitoring and management of patients, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on patient progress and response.
* Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
* Coordinate care transitions, including admissions, transfers, and discharges, to ensure continuity of care.
* Respond to medical emergencies, provide rapid assessment and treatment, and stabilize patients in critical conditions.
* Perform advanced life support procedures, including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) interventions.
* Educate patients and their families about acute and critical conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
* Advocate for patients' needs and preferences, ensuring patient-centered care.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
* Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, standards of care, and hospital policies.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to evidence-based practice guidelines.
* Stay current with advancements in acute care practice and emerging healthcare trends.
* Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
* Mentor and provide guidance to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
* Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State].
* Certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP).
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
* Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing acute and critical conditions.
