ADAS Category Manager

In this position... 
The ADAS Category Manager will be responsible for driving the advanced supply chain strategy for the ADAS team. With a focus on the technical requirements of the complete ADAS system, this individual will take input from the supply chain team to define a best-in-class sourcing strategy. This will include individual interpreting ADAS market dynamics and vehicle cycle plan changes to inform a portfolio of strategic sourcing activities at a global, regional, and local level. You will interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that Commodity Strategies represent the full potential value for the company, maintain key supplier relationships. 
What you'll do...
Work collaboratively with ADAS Product Development and Technology Strategy to understand the features desired by Ford customers and the designs and suppliers capable of meeting those requirements 
Create holistic strategy for ADAS as a system and assist individual commodity buyer in their Category Business Plans 
Understand regulatory changes and support plans to implement the required hardware 
Explore disruptive suppliers to create new dynamics in the supply base, while also strengthening existing key supplier relationships 
Develop a deep understanding of the largest ADAS cost drivers and challenge supplier and key stakeholder assumptions to achieve best in class costs 

You'll have... 
Bachelors degree in engineering or business-related field 
5 years of engineering or supply chain in the Automotive or Consumer Electronics Industries 
Strong communicator that can effectively transition from bottom-up details to concise, clear executive-level messaging 
Proactive and resourceful; comfortable with navigating ambiguity 
Ability to interpret and translate organization needs and commercial strategies into global Commodity Strategies 
Strong data & analytics understanding (e.g., complex TCO modeling, presentation storyboarding skills) 
Strategic and analytical thinking to develop and execute a negotiations strategy 
Ability to build relationships and trust across organizations to drive decisions and alignment 

Even better, you may have...
Bachelors degree in engineering or business-related field; masters in business administration preferred 
8 or more years of engineering or supply chain in the Automotive or Consumer Electronics Industries. 
Background in vision system design requirements, components, and marketplace 
Strong knowledge across complex sourcing processes
