Apply now to see what it means to us and what its like to work somewhere your voice is heard, your wellness is a priority, and your success matters.JOB TITLE: Addiction PsychiatristEMPLOYMENT TYPE:Full-time; 40 hours/weekSCHEDULED HOURS:Schedule is to be determinedPROGRAM/LOCATION:Adult Outpatient Program, Enfield CTPC#:1724ABOUT THE PROGRAM:Adult OutpatientThe Adult Outpatient services provide psychiatric & substance abuse diagnostic evaluation and treatment.Services include assessment, consultation, individual, couples, group, family treatment and medication evaluation and monitoring.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Clinical Management and ServicesProvides direct clinical services to clients, including psychiatric evaluations, medication evaluation and management, diagnostic assessments, ongoing treatment and medication reviews, substance use disorder assessment and treatmentProvides evidence-based Medication-Assisted Treatment for Opioid and Alcohol Use Disorders and ongoing treatment that may include Induction, Stabilization and Maintenance care.Works with program supervisors to oversee client treatment plans.Performs risk assessments for assigned caseload, to any client who presents in crisis as needed, and complete PEC when indicated.Provides mentorship and training for staff seeking competency in MAT or and for staff treating complex individuals.Makes comprehensive integrated care assessments of client and develops focus of treatment.Makes clinically appropriate, focused, goal-oriented treatment plans and reviews as required by agency guidelines.Assesses level of care needs/changes and follows up with and/or makes referrals to appropriate type of treatment and length of treatment.Demonstrates competency in age-related or specialty issues and developmental needs for each population served.Indirect/Administrative Services/Tasks Makes collateral contacts with clients' natural support network; with other team members in-house; with other professionals/providers/agencies and in-patient treatment settings.Collaborates with the team to arrange for admission to other levels of care or referrals to other services.Completes all client record keeping conforming with agency policy and procedures (form, content, timeliness).Completes all necessary information to support transactions with insurance and managed care companies (written and telephone) comprehensively and in a timely manner.Completes any other required administrative record keeping or tasks relevant to the functioning of the agency/department/staff role per policy and procedures, or as assigned by supervisor or Program Director.As plan manager coordinates client's treatment with other providers in and outside the agency and completes all referrals as needed.Additional Duties and Responsibilities Provides clinical leadership role; staff supervision when assignedProvide clinical supervision and consultation to case management teams as assigned.Maintains documentation in compliance with agency and program standards.Participates in administrative, clinical and programmatic staff meetings, supervision, trainings and other meetings as assigned.Participation in agency/departmental committees as required.Takes responsibility for own professional growth and development within and outside of the agency.
Participates in individual/group supervision, case conferences and any other training provided internally that is relevant to one's role and work focus.Additional duties as required.QUALIFICATIONS:Education:M.D.Board-certified or eligible in adult psychiatry and addiction psychiatry.Experience:5 years' experience in adult psychiatry.Community mental health experience preferredLicensure/Certification/Registration: CT license; Board Certified preferred, eligible required.Why Join CHR?

Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives.
