Job Summary
The Adjunct Faculty member supervises students in clinical settings
Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Prepares course schedule
* Evaluates and advises students
* Prepares exams
* Prepares syllabus
* Monitors class roster
* Maintains schedule that allows for student meetings
* Schedules laboratory sessions for skills component of course
* Teaches in lecture and laboratory settings; blended and virtual environments
* Disseminates information and recruits students for service-learning initiatives
* Assesses student performance in the clinical setting
* Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
* Master's degree in any field and Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene; and Valid State of Florida Dental Hygiene licensure; and 3 years of full-time work and/or instructional experience in field, or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene; or Bachelor's degree in any field and Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from a Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) accredited program; and Valid State of Florida Dental Hygiene licensure; and three (3) years of full-time work and/or instructional experience
* All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
* Possess excellent and effective communication skills (written and verbal)
* Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
* Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evening and weekend assignments
* Ability to work in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
