Job Description We are currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach AASI 600- Sustainable Aviation and Aerospace Perspectives. Course Description An examination of aviation/aerospace's interaction with the world from the viewpoint of positive and negative effects. Short term and long-term effects will be investigated to highlight the significant challenges associated with forming a sustainable future for the industry by examining case studies and best management and technology practices. Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training. Presently, we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states except California. ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases. Qualifications A minimum of a Doctorate degree in discipline is required (please see list of acceptable disciplines below), as well as relevant industry experience from within the last 7 years. Applicable Professional Certification Any professional certification related to sustainable organization certifications include Lead Auditor in ISO 14001, Lead Auditor on ISO 50001, Certified Sustainability Professional Certificate (CSP), Carbon Offsetting Verifier (CORSIA), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), AIChE Credential for Sustainability Professionals (ACSP) - Sustainability Management Certified Professional (SMCP), Certified Safety Professional, Sustainable Management Certificate, and sustainability Excellence Associate (SEA) or equivalent. Desired Professional Training or Experience Sustainability experience to include environmental, economic, and or social aspects. Experience may be gained through work as a consultant, corporate sustainability officer, or similar experience in sustainable activities. International experience is beneficial but not mandatory. Degrees Within the Teaching Discipline Engineering (Ph.D.) Civil/Aerospace/Environmental/Mechanical/Aerospace/Aviation Environmental Science (Ph.D.) Environmental Policy & Strategies/Conservation/Energy, Corporate Environmental Management Sustainability (Ph.D/DBA) Sustainable Transportation/ Development/Environment/Economics, Corporate Environmental Management, Environmental Policies and Strategies, Sustainable Systems, Life Cycle Analysis, Industrial Technology (Ph.D) & Ph.D In Aviation Technology Management (Ph.D & DBA), Business Administration (Ph.D & DBA), Public Administration (Ph.D).
