Position Title: Adjunct Faculty, Sociology Position Number: 999972 School/Division: Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences-Social Science Full-Time or Part-Time: Part-Time Description: The Department of Sociology and Program of Criminology at Hofstra University seeks part-time, adjunct faculty for sociology courses in the following areas: Introduction to Sociology, Sociology of Health and Illness, and Sociology of Race and Ethnicity. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Teaching core courses in Sociology, as named above. In-person classes. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate students with diverse backgrounds and be committed to equitable and inclusive pedagogy. Qualifications: Master's degree in Sociology required. Successful candidates will have demonstrated a commitment to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in an educational environment.
