Compensation: $30.05 per hour, Up to 29 hours per week. Compensation Type: Non-Exempt Employment Type: Temporary (Fixed Term) Grade: NE15 Position Summary Adjunct faculty serve as temporary part-time faculty and are appointed as needed on a semester by semester basis. The primary duty is effective teaching of college-level courses and/or labs in the qualified discipline. This position reports to the Director and is responsible for developing and revising instructional materials; presenting material in an organized manner; evaluating student learning; maintaining student records; teaching day, evening, weekend, and on-line classes, as assigned; teaching at the main and/or satellite campuses, as assigned; maintaining a minimum of 1 office hour per week per assigned course; participating in Adjunct Professional Development activities; demonstrating and promoting the school values of: Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.
Experience with traditional face-to-face courses and the ability to use San Juan College's Learning Management System (Canvas) as well as technology-enhanced curriculum.
Access to home internet, a personal computer, and telephone is required.
Demonstrates skill and willingness to learn and use multiple technology platforms to communicate with students.

Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program with an AAS or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant is required. Current New Mexico Occupational Therapy license with minimum of 1 year of experience. Experience, knowledge, and skills in the content areas and topics being taught.
The successful candidate will value diversity and have a multicultural perspective with adult/minority students; and, have a high energy level along with a strong commitment to the community college philosophy and to the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program. Experience or willing to learn with computer assisted instruction highly desired. This position may require primary instructor status or assisting the primary instructor with labs.
