Adjunct Instructor - Speech

Position Details:This position is part of the teaching faculty within the Speech department and reports to the Department Chair.
Responsibilities:This is an adjunct faculty position. Responsibilities will include teaching one or more Speech courses, developing appropriate course syllabi, and working with students as needed. The classes may be dual credit and taught at a high school location.
Minimum Qualifications:The successful candidate for this position will have a master's degree or higher and a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Speech. Preference will be given to applicants with college-level teaching experience.
Salary Range & Fringe Benefits:Salary for adjunct faculty members is based upon level of education and ranges from $1,800 per 3-hour course for a master's degree to $2,000 per 3-hour course for a doctorate.Worker's compensationLimited Part-Time Retirement PlanKilgore College does not participate in the federal Social Security program. As a result, employees/retirees of the college are subject to the federal Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and possibly the Government Pension Offset (GPO) laws.
Positions will remain open until filled. Teaching positions will be required to submit official transcripts upon an offer of employment.
