Job Details Responsible for providing support to the Care Management and Denials Management Departments functions and staff, include the clerical support for Care Managers and Social Workers in facilitating patient's transitions to the next level of care.
Job Duties: Answers incoming telephone calls to the department.
Takes a complete message and forwards call or message to appropriate staff.
Assists with concrete transition planning, including ordering supplies, transportation arrangements, DME, faxing/emailing related correspondence to facilities and agencies.
Assists with obtaining authorization for post acute services when required.
Assembles and facilitates paperwork for QIO expedited appeals.
Maintains department files (paper and electronic).
Responsible for sending and receiving department faxes.
Distributes census, reports required for Care Management staff.
Orders supplies/equipment, oversees office needs and performs various duties as required.
Performs duties as required to support the daily functions of the Care Management Department.
Requirements: High School degree required.
Two years college experience or associate's degree preferred.
Hospital or medical office experience preferred Salary Range USD $23.46 - USD $32.85 /Hr.
