Job Description: We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to support a team of attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment.
This is a full-time, on-site position in Chicago with a professional dress code.
The role offers room for growth and the chance to be part of a dynamic and expanding legal team.
Key Responsibilities: Draft and format legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and subpoenas.Handle document editing, proofreading, and redlining to meet firm and legal standards.Manage attorney calendars, including meetings, court deadlines, and calls.Coordinate travel arrangements and meeting logistics for attorneys.Support attorneys in trial preparation, including creating hearing and trial binders.Collaborate with billing departments on client invoices and resolve billing issues.Organize mail, manage electronic and physical files, and input attorney time into billing systems.Communicate with clients, courts, and vendors to manage various tasks. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a law firm, supporting litigation teams.Experience in a mid to large-sized law firm environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), NetDocuments, and Outlook.Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail and deadlines.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience with legal e-filing and court procedures. Additional Details: Must be able to work from the office 100% of the time.Business professional dress code required.
