MCLA, through a contract with the Maryland Judiciary, operates Court Help Centers throughout Maryland to provide legal advice to civil litigants in person and via phone, chat, email, and videoconference.

Job Summary:
MCLA announces an immediate opening for a full-time Administrative Assistant position in La Plata, MD.
The administrative assistant assists litigants in signing in for services, directs litigants to appropriate resources, ensures that all administrative functions are met, and provides administrative assistance to the leadership team and staff attorneys.
Duties and Responsibilities: Greet visitors and guide them through the intake process.Answer telephone calls and direct phone calls to relevant staff.Enter data accurately and efficiently.Order supplies.Maintain accurate, updated filing system for all matters in the Anne Arundel County Family Law Center.Update online calendars.Coordinate submission of necessary human resources and information technology documents.Generate reports and other assignments as needed.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications:
Good time management and organizational skills; a professional and personable demeanor; proficiency with technology, including data entry; excellent written and oral communication skills; experience in handling a variety of high-volume workloads and prioritizing time-sensitive tasks; expertise with Microsoft Office, Excel, and experience in law office procedures and management of office staff.
Work Environment
Work duties are typically performed in a general office setting with regular interaction via telephone, videoconference, instant messaging and email, and in-person.
Benefits
The salary range for this position is $40,000.00 - $49, 000.00.
