Schedule: 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday (38.75 hours per week)

Position Overview/Summary: The Associate Underwriter will provide program operations support, handling transactions such as new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements.
The role includes supporting the run-off of terminated programs and working with our Policy Decisions rating/issuance system.
This position focuses on administrative functions, performing various duties, and engaging in account management activities and collaboration with other business units.
There is potential for professional growth and development within the Programs operational space.
Responsibilities / Essential Functions: Provide support to Program Administrator rating staff for all lines of business in Policy Decisions rating/issuance system.Update/maintain Help Desk (jitbit) and program assigned mailboxes.Submit Proof of Coverage transactions for Workers' Compensation – State of WI.Handle administrative DMV reporting.Resolve and process reporting issues for DMV transactions.Scan and upload policy documentation to Policy Decisions as needed.Support run-off of terminated programs including preparing & mailing of cancellations/non-renewals and oversight when handled by Program Administrators.Prepare certified copies of policies.Provide rating/transactional support for Program Administrators.Support motor carrier filing requests logging and cancellations.Support projects as needed or required by the business team.Support requests for IA Liquor Dram Shop Certificates.Support Work Comp C105 Certificates.Support the Quality Assurance process.Conduct OFAC Policy number reviews.Position Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent.5+ years of Insurance Experience.Commercial Lines Rating/Underwriting experience.Analytical and problem-solving skills with decision-making ability.Ability to function effectively both individually and in a team environment.Strong communication skills.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to work and/or adapt in a rapidly changing environment.Basic understanding of windows-based applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) Internet, and new rating software.Physical Demands & Work Environment: Ability to use a personal computer, call center phone, and other standard office equipment.Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods (75%-90%).
