Overview:
HarperCollins Publishers is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the contracts team.
In this role you will be responsible for updating and verifying author contract data in Biblio, and collecting financial, compliance and other information from authors.
A successful applicant will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a strong eye for detail, excellent organization skills, and be able to juggle many different tasks.
Responsibilities:
Verify author contract information against existing Biblio data and update Biblio as appropriate; process change requests in Biblio and distribute throughout company as appropriateUpload and tag author contracts into Harpers digital contract search and retrieval systemRegistration of copyrightsWork with editorial, finance and other groups to answer questions about author agreementsObtain and process tax, payment, Estate and other documents from authorsReview author and vendor compliance questionnairesOther tasks as needed to maintain author data systems
Qualifications:
4-year college degree or equivalent work experienceMust have minimum 2 years of work experience assisting someone in a management positionExcellent communication skills to interact with internal managers and outside agents and authorsKnowledge of Biblio or Docushare helpfulStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to exercise professionalism, poise and tact in all verbal and written correspondenceStrong time management skillsAbility to set priorities under pressureWillingness to take initiative and to complete projects under general supervisionProficient knowledge of MS Office and MS ExcelGood judgment and practicality HarperCollins Publishers is a company full of people who are passionate about books.
